Last season was the  50th Anniversary of the choir with a celebratory performance of Handel's Messiah. We also travelled to France and were hosted by the Ensemble Vocal de Pellouailles-les-Vignes, a choir from near Angers in the Loire valley, who were our guests in 2012. A 50th anniversary party ended the season, with many ex-members in attendance, including the founding conductor Roy Abrams. See pictures in the Photo Gallery.

An early highlight of this season was when we joined The Hardynge Choir of Harpenden in St.Albans' Cathedral and Abbey Church on 18th October performing works by Beethoven and Schubert. Click the small photo above for a larger view. Click to see the text of Neil Buick's review in the Herts Advertiser.

We've had the privilege of premiering "The Nativity",  a cantata by our President, Peter Skellern, who is an established composer. In 2009, Peter gave a workshop in St John's Church, Boxmoor attended by more than a hundred singers.

Were delighted to welcome new members and are keen to help young members. You are welcome to come and try us out for a few rehearsals to see if you would like to join. Click to see rehearsal details.
