 Welcome!

The Aeolian Singers are Hemel Hempstead (Hertfordshire)’s largest mixed voice chorus, a welcoming group of around 80 members, making music in the town and in London’s major concert halls since 1963.

We perform a wide range of choral music, from Bach to Lloyd Webber. We've sung abroad in such places as Ghent, Paris, Provence and Mannheim.  In the last few seasons we have sung in St Albans,  Stratford-upon-Avon, High Wycombe as well as in our home town of Hemel Hempstead.

We've had the pleasure of working with Arlene Sierra, an emerging young composer, who created a piece for the Aeolians and Longdean School Choir and we've had the privilege of premiering "The Nativity",  a cantata by our President, Peter Skellern, who is an established composer.

Highlights of last season were visits to Mannheim and Provence. This season we look forward to a concert with large orchestra in November and to a visit next April by our friends from the Mannheim Konzertchor.

We’re delighted to welcome new members and are keen to help young members.  Come along to rehearsals [see dates] and sing with us for a few weeks to see if you wish to join.
