In 2000 the choir gained the "Vision and Creativity" award from the organisation Making Music.  This provided for a joint choral programme involving the Aeolian Singers and music students at Longdean School, Hemel Hempstead’s largest secondary school.  With the demolition of the Pavilion, Hemel Hempstead no longer has a space big enough to accommodate a full orchestra, let alone a large chorus as well, and we have suspended that collaborative programme.  But we are eager to sponsor young musicans.

• We frequently use a small group of youth singers to participate in our concerts.
  
  

• Full time students, Dacorum Card holders  and all under 26 enjoy a reduced membership fee (currently £16 per term).
  
  

• We also offer additional incentives to encourage people aged under 26 to join us.  If you would like to give choral singing a go, you can enjoy your first term free.  Why not come along to a rehearsal and give us a try?
